The Tim Carman Trio is no-frills, timeless, B3 organ trio jazz. Inspired by 60s icons like Big John Patton, Jimmy Smith, Brother Jack McDuff, Al Harewood, Ben Dixon, Art Blakey, Roy Haynes, Kenny Burrell, and Grant Green—Carman (drums), Clark (organ), and Fell (guitar) harken back to an age of honest, raw, musical interaction.
Eddie Roberts, founder of Color Red and guitarist/bandleader of The New Mastersounds, touts Carman’s songwriting and proclivity to the organ trio format as “soul jazz how it’s supposed to sound.”
